Year 2 2025 - 2026
Mrs Goulbourne
Class Teacher

A warm welcome to Year 2's class page.
On behalf of all the staff in Year 2, welcome to our class page. This is where you will find all the information you need to know about what we will be doing this term.
In Year 2, we always try to make our learning enjoyable and engaging so that it's memorable. We also work hard in lessons to reach clearly defined objectives and produce work of increasingly high quality.
We recognise that in order to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. A strong partnership with you will make a great difference in your child's education.
If you ever have any questions or would like a chat about subjects or progress, please do not hesitate to ask.

RE

Branch 5 - To the Ends of the Earth
This term in RE, the children will explore how the message of Jesus spread to people all around the world. They will learn about the Ascension and the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost, discovering how this gave the disciples the courage to share the Good News. Children will also find out about the work of the early Church and how the Catholic Church continues this mission today, helping others and sharing God’s love in communities across the world.
Branch 6 - Dialogue and Encounter
In Branch 6, the children will explore the importance of understanding and respecting people from different religions and cultures. They will learn about how Christians are called to love others through the example of the Good Samaritan, and what it means to be a kind and helpful neighbour. Children will also discover the work of Christian charities and how they support those in need, helping pupils to reflect on how they can show care, compassion and respect in their own lives.
