Writing

In English this term, we will begin by exploring the story The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark by Jill Tomlinson, using it as inspiration to create their own imaginative stories. Pupils will also read The Day the Crayons Quit by Drew Daywalt, which will support them in writing their own persuasive letters. In addition, children will study the poem “Desk Diddler” to help them understand humour in poetry and develop their own entertaining and creative poems.
