Art and Design 

William Morris, Printing

William Morris was an English textile designer and artist, children will take inspiration from his work and create their own reproduction using the pritning method on a variety of different mediums or surfaces.

 

Design Technology 

Children will be making their own Marbellous Structures

 

Computing 

Computing systems and networks

In this unit, children develop their understanding of computer systems and how information is transferred between systems and devices. They will learn about the input, output, and process aspects of a variety of different real-world systems. children discover how information is found on the World Wide Web, through learning how search engines work and what influences searching. 

Creating media

This unit gives children the opportunity to learn how to create short videos. They will develop the skills of capturing, editing, and manipulating video. 

 

MFL- spanish 

This term chidlren wil be learning about the following topics:

Do you have a pet?

What is the date?

Children will develop their speaking, lisentening , reading and wrting skills.

 

Physical Education

PE will take place on Tuesdays  and we ask that children are sent to school that day in their PE kits. 

 

History 

Children will be learning all about the Trojan Horse.

 

Geography 

Children will be lerning about rivers, aiming to answer the question "What is a river?"

 

Music 

Children will be focussing on the song  "Livin’ on a Prayer".

 

Homework

Homework will be sent out every Friday and we ask that it is back by the following Friday. Homework is usually based around what we have been learning that week, all we ask is that your child tries their hardest. The children will recieve homework for:

  • Maths
  • Spellings 
  • Reading books

Homework is sent via paper copy.

children will have their own home reading diary.
