Art - Henri Rousseau

Painting

The children will learn about the artist, Henri Rousseau, and explore his work in detail. They will learn about the different types of paints – acrylic, powder, oils and watercolours, and about different types of brushes and strokes. Using what they have learned, the children will then create their own artwork.

Geography - Why is fair trade fair?

This topic enables pupils to understand what international trade entails – the manufacture, selling and buying of goods and services between countries through exports and imports – and the fact that trade has been operating for thousands of years.
